I love bead creator!! So easy to use, but even better is the help from so many so quickly to anything you have a question or problem with. I have designed pieces for teaching, and the program is so clear and explicit for students go follow! If you're into beading, you need this - Rosebud. I have used several other bead software programs and this by far is the best I have used.

I use it all the time to not only create beautiful beaded pictures from photos but also I produce my own unique designs. I own BeadCreator Pro v5. It's easy to use to create your own patterns from scratch or from a photo or image. You can determine the size of your project. You can create a small design and then be repeat the design so that there are several of the same elements in your pattern. For example, if you were making a bracelet with a flower pattern, then you can replicate the pattern so instead of one flower you could have 7 flowers. Patterns can be created for several different types of stitches from loom, peyote, brick, etc. You can limit the number of colors you use for each pattern.

I love this software. Not only is it easy to use but the updates are purposeful and customer driven. The designer is very available and the user groups are helpful both in using the software and in stimulating creativity. Once you own this program you can play right away!! You will just love this software whether you want to bead your own family photos or use the extensive Masters Artist inventory of over a thousand pre packaged artworks done by the old masters that comes with the program. There is available also a well supported problem solving support group that has graciously solved any problems I've thrown at them.

I understand that this software will also work for knitters and X stitchers too. I am just finishing beading a 3x5 photo of my Grandson that will be on the cover of a one of a kind journal for my daughter. Now, how great is that!

It practically does the beading. Now there are tutorials which make using the software extremely easy. I love doing a quick sketch with watercolor or acrylic, scan it to the BeadCreator folder on my computer, pull it up and within 5 - 15 minutes depending on complexity of the design, I have a pattern and bead numbers so all I have to do is order the beads and begin. The joy of this pattern is that it also prints out, not only color graph, but word graphs which I require for accurate use of a pattern.

This feature saves me hours. It is user friendly and you can load it and use it immediately without even reading the instructions. I like to use the software to help me take photos of friends and family and turn them into beaded artwork. Awesome Program - A must have for beaders - Skip. I experimented with several different beading programs before settling on Bead Creator a few years back, and have been extremely happy with it. You can create very basic beading patterns in a variety of stitches, or you can create and edit very complex patterns from photos or pictures. The Index is enclosed in parentheses and is proceeded by the number of consecutive beads of that color. Example: 2 5 38 This option creates a row-by-row text listing by the MFG Name. In BeadCreator the rows and columns always start in the upper left-hand corner of the pattern. The options is for Table Word Chart only. You can create Word Charts in columns. Filled Rectangle: This tool functions just like the Rectangle tool above except that the entire area inside the rectangle is filled with the selected color.

Use this when you want to create a solid colored box instead of a hollow frame. Ellipse: Use the Ellipse tool to draw hollow circles and oval shapes. Place the cursor at an outside edge of where you want the shape to be drawn, then hold down the primary mouse button and drag outwards to define the parameter of the shape. A thin black line indicates the shape and location of where the shape will be created. When the desired shape is attained, release the mouse button. Use this when you want to create a solid colored shape instead of a hollow shape. Fill Area: This tool allows you to fill in any enclosed area with the selected color.

It is very handy and can be used in several ways. To use this tool, simply click once on the place where you want to apply it. If you previously created a rectangular or oval frame, you can select this tool and click inside the shape to automatically color everything inside the frame. The frame retains its original color. If you have a solid shape such as a solid oval or rectangle, you can select this tool and click on the shape to change its color. If you click outside of a closed shape, then every bead that has not already been colored will receive the selected color.

It will be highlighted in the list. To edit a color, click a color in the list; then either leftclick on a bead or move the mouse while holding the left button. The cursor will change to the color of the bead selected. If you want to view only the colors that you have already used in the bead pattern, check the Omit Unused Colors box. This makes it much easier to re-select the colors that you have already used once; but does not affect the palette. If you fill in the pricing information of the beads in the palette; then this will give you the current price of all the beads needed by the amount of tubes.

The Current Value X is how many beads are being used in the design now. This section is the same as Use only XX colors If you have created a design and already saved it; but you would like to lower the number of colors used; then you can enter the number of colors used here. Caution should be used and only decrease this number in small increments Enter a number into the Reduce total colors used to field. Click on the [Clear] button if you do not want to make the change. On Next Color Bottom Section You can click on the bead color in the list from the palette that you want to change the color to. Sorting Columns The default sort on the bottom section is by Mfg Name. Your can sort the columns.

You can also choose a color from the dropdown list. The entire palette is available from this list. You can choose how many beads wide the brush will be.

    You can also left-mouse click and drag to color continuously. It only removes the color change one bead at a time. Click on the [OK] button to keep the changes. Opens the Add Text Into Design dialog box, which lets you place text elements in the design. Type in the text you want to place in your design. Click on the [Apply] button to add the text to your design.

    The Transparency Slider Bar is non-functional. You can move the text around by either left-clicking the mouse on the text and dragging it to where you want it. Or you can click on the Left, Right, Top or Bottom buttons. Example: If you have a design you were working on Change Palette There are two factors that effect how your design is mapped from the old palette to the new palette. If your design was created from a graphic image or a blank pattern is the first factor. The second is if the Mfg name is the same or not in both palettes.

    You can close BeadCreator without saving your chances. You may need this to edit any changes you do not like. If the Mfg names do not match, old colors may be replaced with nearest matching new colors. This process is basically creating a new design from an old design based on the new palette. If the Mfg names do match, then colors should be replaced with the same Mfg name in the new palette.

    Sometimes, they do not get mapped exactly and are replaced with nearest RGB color anyway. This is where the printed list is handy. The whole design turns one solid color. Example: to DB Click on the [Browse Browse to where the palette is located and click on it so that the name goes in the File name field. Supported Formats: Own Palette Files. Clicking on the [Cancel] button exits the dialog box with opening a palette. The new palette in shown in the On Following Palette section. Click on the [Apply] button. The design is changed on the Main Design Screen.

    In the Crop Editor dialog box you can increase the Scale so you can see the beads better. Click on the [Details Click on the [OK] button to keep the changes and exit the dialog box. Click on the [Cancel] button to exit the dialog box with changing anything. Click on the [Apply Selection] button and all but the selected beads are eliminated from the pattern. This opens the Contour Editor dialog box, which allows you to remove blocks of beads within the design. Become familiar with what each tool does NOTE: this is great for doing fringework.

    The yellow color in the icon indicates which beads inside or outside will be removed. Click on the [Replace All Removed Beads] button to put all the removed beads back into the bead pattern. Even if you have saved the changes made, you can re-open the Contour Editor and replace the removed beads. Drawing Tools: To use the drawing tools, have a color selected; then left-click on the tool. The Design by sample dialog box opens. Allows you to duplicate the image to create a larger image pattern.

    You enter how many duplicates of the entire image you want across Width and how many times down Height. You can flip or mirror image by checking the Execute the tumbling through 1 once check box. Click on the [Apply] button to see the results. Allows you to add or remove columns or rows. Choose the appropriate tab. You can preview on the design where your addition or removal will be.

    When adding, you can choose the color from the drop-down list. In the Location section, you can move in any direction the number you enter into the appropriate field. Find the rows or columns number on the design with the mouse and then look at the Status Bar for the column or row numbers. Add Rows. Click on the [Finish] button to keep your changes and exit the dialog box.

    Click on the [Cancel] button to exit the dialog box without saving the changes. The Add Individual Beads dialog box opens. You can add one bead at a time to the top or bottom of the design. When ready, click on the [Add] button and the bead will be added to the design. Move the latest added bead.

Click on the [OK] button to keep the change and exit the dialog box. Click on the [Cancel] button to exit the dialog box without changing the position. This is not working correctly.
